Lisa's show, titled ‘PORTRAIT’, featured her Café Series line drawings inspired by our timeless intrigue with portraiture and the café culture of bohemian Paris during the birth of modern art. A vibrant community of artists, photographers, philosophers, and writers would meet to challenge conventional ideas — characters like Matisse, Cocteau, Modigliani, Picasso, Brassai, Man Ray, Fitzgerald, and Hemingway. Originally drawn to the fine arts she followed a passion for design and a career as a freelance art director. It is this blend of both worlds — a love of art history and a reverence for contemporary design — that distinguishes her drawings.
